Katrina Anne Albanese
Katrina was born, raised, and resides on Long Island, New York. She attended public school in her small home town. Upon graduating from high school, she attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan. Here she received her associates degree in fashion design. After taking a year off from college, Katrina continued her education at Queens College. She will be graduating in May 2019 with a bachelors degree in art education.
Other than being an artist, Katrina has many hobbies. She is a certified advanced open water scuba diver. A lot of her inspiration comes from the ocean and beaches. She is passionate about ocean and Earth conservation. When she isn’t under water she is usually taking her dog, Charlie, for a swim by the Fire Island light house (a common subject in her artwork) or for a hike in the woods.
Katrina is also a volunteer with the Flower Kids Foundation. Here she helps mentor and empower young girls to be confident, pursue their dreams, and impose positive values in them.
When she was 19 years old, Katrina began competing in pageants. She loved the opportunities pageantry gave her; this includes various community service activities, meeting new friends, and modeling.
